PURPOSE: A door closer is provided to achieve an enhanced compatibility and locking performance while allowing the door closer to be adopted both to a fire retarding door and a common gate and utilizing a deceleration motor having a deceleration gear. CONSTITUTION: A door closer comprises a bracket(60) having a penetrating hole(61), an external operating arm(50) having an axis hole(51) and a spacing groove(52) for bi-sectioning the axis hole(51), a lower end of the flange cylinder(70) is integrally coupled onto the bracket(60) so as to be communicated with the hole(61), a deceleration motor(80) is integrally coupled to the top of the flange cylinder(70), a nut(82) is coaxially connected to a rotation axis(81) of the motor(80) so that the nut(82) is inserted into the flange cylinder(70), a first bevel gear(83) shaped as a ring is fixed at a lower surface of the bracket(60) in such a manner that the gear(83) is communicated with the flange cylinder(70) and a tooth surface of the gear(83) is directed downward, a second bevel gear(84) is inserted into the spacing groove(52) in such a manner that the gear(84) is communicated with the hole(51) and a tooth surface of the gear(84) faces the tooth surface of the gear(83), a bush(85) is inserted into the hole(51), a screw axis(86) is coaxially coupled with the nut(82) so that a rear end of the arm(50) is connected so as to turn at the bracket(60) and electrically connected again to a charger(100) and an alternating current.
