PURPOSE: An apparatus for converting seat direction and a vehicle seat adopting such apparatus are provided to achieve an enhanced ride comfort while allowing riders to conveniently convert horizontal direction of vehicle seat. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for converting direction of seat having a seat cushion and a seatback, the apparatus comprising a guide unit(12) fixed onto a bottom surface of a vehicle, a moving unit(14) mounted to the guide unit(12) and which is selectively fixed to a predetermined portion of the guide unit(12) or moved according to the guide unit(12), and a supporting unit(16) which is selectively circulated centering a portion coupled to an end of the moving unit(14), the supporting unit(16) supporting the seat back in such a manner that the seat back selectively rotates.
