PURPOSE: A convergence compensator for a projection television is provided to perform convergence compensation outside of the projection television. CONSTITUTION: A convergence compensator for a projection television includes a mechabase jig, an adjustment jig(110), convergence adjustor(120,130,140), a combining assembly, an Y direction adjustment assembly, an X direction adjustment assembly, and a tilt adjustment assembly. The mechabase jig(100) contains a liquid crystal display assembly. The adjustment jig(110) is mounted on the mechabase jig. The convergence adjustor(120,130,140) adjusts R,G,B liquid crystal display panel convergence. The combining assembly is coupled with the liquid crystal display panel. The Y direction adjustment assembly adjusts the Y-direction convergence of the liquid crystal display panel. The X direction adjustment assembly adjusts the X-direction convergence of the liquid crystal display panel. The tilt adjustment assembly adjusts tilt angle of the liquid crystal display panel.
