<p>The system has e.g. two tanks (5A,B) which may be filled with paint or varnish in solution, ready to be sprayed, and charged to high voltage. The tanks are mounted on a carousel (4), with a dividing wall (3), which may be rotated through 180 degrees to move the filled tank into the high voltage zone. There is an earthing contact (16A,B) with a spring (18A,B) pushing a piston down onto a contact in a cylinder (17A,B). Air is admitted into the cylinder to compress the spring and break the earth contact. The tanks are heavily insulated (12A,B). An insulated cover (19) with a suction line (22) is lowered onto the top of the tank and the liquid is pumped (25) to the spray heads (6) through an insulated pipeline (30). The spray heads are connected to a high-voltage generator (40).</p> |
