PURPOSE: A differential estimation apparatus for usage change is provided to accomplish improvements enabling meter reading by unit of usage time zone or by an overall usage volume. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus, in a remote meter reading system for sensing a usage volume signal from a meter of a subscriber side and transmitting the signal to a supplier side, comprises a usage volume detection unit(20) for outputting a usage volume signal from a meter of a subscriber side, a real-time clock(30) for measuring the usage volume signal of the usage volume detection unit(20) by unit of time zone, a memory((40) for storing the usage volume signal measured by the real-time clock(30), and a transmitting unit(50) for transmitting the usage volume signal stored in the memory(40) to a supplier.
