PURPOSE: A broadcasting receiver displaying whether multimedia and hypermedia information coding experts group data is transmitted is provided to detect whether MHEG data is transmitted during current transfer. CONSTITUTION: A broadcasting receiver displaying whether multimedia and hypermedia information coding experts group data includes a tuner(101), an information detector, a controller(108), and a display(107). The tuner(101) tunes the digital broadcasting signal transmitted. The information detector parses the tuned digital broadcasting signal and detects digital broadcasting information from the parsed result. The controller(108) detects whether the MHEG data is included in the digital broadcasting signal from the result of the information detector, and generates a control signal to display the detected result. The display(107) is turned on and off according to the control signal generated at the controller. |
