METHOD FOR DRIVING A PROJECTION DISPLAY

PURPOSE: A method for driving a projection display tube is provided to prevent useless electron beam from being ejected from an electron gun. CONSTITUTION: The method applied to the projection display tube which displays an image of high brightness on a screen when the electron beam is scanned from an image driving signal. A direct current voltage of the image driving signal is lower than a threshold voltage of the screen during a scanning time and lower than the threshold voltage of the electron gun during a recursive time. The direct current voltage of the image driving signal further is higher than the threshold voltage of the electron gun during the scanning time. The recursive time further includes a horizontal and vertical recursive time.
