PURPOSE: An apparatus for testing an air filter is provided to rapidly and precisely test a performance of the circular and square air filter without checking with naked eyes. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for testing an air filter includes a plane testing die(11) for laying on a filter(30), a discharge pipe(12) coupled at a lower side of the testing die and communicating with a predetermined portion of the testing die, a blower(13) mounted at an end part of the discharge pipe for generating a suction power to discharging air through the discharge pipe, a jig(14) mounted on a top part of the testing die at the portion coupled with the discharge pipe and formed in the shape of "L" to mount the circle filter, a chamber(15) covered from a top part of the jig to seal the filter from outside and formed with an air inlet pipe(16) at one side, a connection hose(17) for connecting the air inlet and discharge pipes, a difference pressure gauge(18) mounted at an intermediate part of the hose for detecting a difference pressure of the air inlet and discharge pipes, a switch(19) to be turned on when a detected value is lower than a preset value, and a lamp(20) for displaying an abnormal state of the filter by lightening in response to the turning on of the switch.
