PURPOSE: A device and a method for automatically measuring displacement amount of vibrating wire type sensors using serial communication are provided to automatically measure a length transformation, underground pressure and pore water pressure displacement mount of various constructions due to effects of movement and vibration o the ground in various constructing sites. CONSTITUTION: A device for automatically measuring displacement amount of vibrating wire type sensors using serial communication includes a number of vibrating wire type sensors converting vibration frequency mounted at a plurality of measuring object points according to a physical displacement amount of each measuring object point, signal conversion units(20) mounted at the measuring object points with the vibrating wire type sensors, converting signal from each sensor into digital signal and transferring converted data in a serial communication method, a sensor control unit(22) for controlling that sends periodically control signal to the signal conversion units and receives and stores converted data in serial, and a main computer(24) analyzing data received from the sensor control unit to make into information.
