PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to increase the efficiency of light usage. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display member, a front polarization plate, a rear polarization plate(24), a rear light source and a liquid crystal reflector. The liquid crystal display member includes liquid crystal accumulated between a front substrate and a rear substrate. The front polarization plate is implemented on the front substrate. The rear polarization plate(24) is implemented on the rear substrate. The rear light source is implemented on the rear surface of the rear polarization plate. The liquid crystal reflector is implemented between the rear polarization plate and the rear light source. The liquid crystal accumulated between the front substrate and the rear substrate includes electrodes on the aligned inner surface.
