BONE SUBSTITUTE COMPOSITION AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A bone substitute composition and its preparation method are provided, to reduce the degradation extent of bond substitute in the biological body. CONSTITUTION: A composition comprises gelatin powder; water; calcium triphosphate; and glutaraldehyde. Preferably the molecular weight of gelatin is 60,000-100,000 Dalton. The calcium triphosphate is beta phase and its grain size is 200-300 micrometers. The ratio of gelatin to calcium triphosphate is 1:1 to 1:5. The bone substitute composition is prepared by dissolving gelatin powder in deionized water to prepare the gelatin solution; adding calcium triphosphate powder to the gelatin solution and stirring it to the mixture solution; and adding glutaraldehyde as a cross-linking agent to the mixture solution.
