PURPOSE: A method for vertical alignment of letters of a bidirectional printer by using a DC motor is provided to improve a printing speed of the bidirectional printing and aligning vertical letter printing by using the DC motor instead of a step motor. CONSTITUTION: A method for vertical alignment of letters of a bidirectional printer by using a DC motor includes the steps of detecting a position of a printer head by a first sensing element when conveying the printer head forward, generating a DC motor driving signal for controlling a letter printing position according to a printing operation when the printer head is detected, detecting a position of the printer head moving rearward by a second sensing element when the printer head is fed back, generating the DC motor driving signal for controlling a letter printing position according to a printing operation when the printer head is detected, and matching a vertical alignment of letter printing by controlling the DC motor driving signals generated in the second and the fifth steps.
