MEDIUM SOLVENT OF ELECTRIC FURNACE AND DEGUMMING METHOD IN ELECTRIC FURNACE BY USING MEDIUM SOLVENT

PURPOSE: A medium solvent and a tempering method in an electric furnace by using the medium solvent are provided to minimize the generation of HF gas which is a pollutant of environment by recycling residual product of a steel mill and to offer a property the same as or greater than the property of a general fluorite medium solvent. CONSTITUTION: A medium solvent for an electric furnace is composed of 20-30wt% of sintered dust, 10-15wt% of mill scale and remnant sludge in an electric furnace. More than 40wt% of total content of iron is contained in the sintered dust, the mill scale and the electric furnace sludge respectively. A tempering in an electric furnace is performed by inputting the prepared medium solvent to the molten steel in the electric furnace 5-8kg per 1 ton of molten steel.
