PURPOSE: A cassette inserting slot blocking method of a front loading video cassette player is provided to obtain a locking effect for a front door without additionally installing parts by blocking a cassette inserting slot of a housing with a cassette. CONSTITUTION: A cassette inserting is detected. In a state that the case is inserted, a blocking mode is selected. When the blocking mode is selected, a loading motor is driven to convey the inserted cassette to a blocking position. It is detected that the cassette has reached to the blocking position. When the cassette has erached to the blocking position, the loading motor is stopped and a blocking state is set.
