WALL-MOUNTED MICROWAVE OVEN AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A wall-mounted microwave oven and method for controlling the same are provided to prevent fire previously being possibly occurred from a cooking appliance using gas and to early extinguish the fire in case of occurring from the cooking appliance using gas. CONSTITUTION: In a wall-mounted microwave oven and method for controlling the same, the microwave oven comprises a main body(1) forming a cooking chamber(3) and a chamber for parts(5); a magnetron(13) accommodated in the chamber for parts(5), which supplies electronic wave to the cooking chamber(3); and a casing enclosing the main body and having a hood duct provided between the main body and the casing itself to connect an inlet(23) located on a bottom area and an outlet(15) located on an upper area. The wall-mounted microwave oven is characterized by comprising a fire extinguisher(30) mounted in the casing, which scatters fire extinguishing agent when a temperature of lower portion of the main body(1) exceed a set temperature.
