PURPOSE: An audio player having a character data reproducing function is provided to store a desired music file in a memory without a storing medium driving unit and to download an MP3 file through the Internet or a PC communication. CONSTITUTION: A storing unit(4) stores a compressively coded audio data and a character data. A microcontroller(2) reads and separates the audio data and the character data stored in the storing unit(4), and performs a general controlling operation for a system. Audio data reproducing and processing units (10,12,14) restores and reproduces the audio data stored in the storing unit(4). A character data reproducing and producing unit(6) reproduces the character data stored in the storing unit(4) by synchronizing it with the audio data. A display(8) displays the reproduced character data.
