OPTICAL FIBER FOR PHOTO AMPLIFIER

摘要

PURPOSE: An optical fiber for photo amplifier containing Dy¬+3 is provided which improves photo amplified efficiency in wavelength of 1.31 micrometer. The photo amplifier containing Dy¬+3 is minimized interaction between Dy¬+3 and base. CONSTITUTION: An optical fiber is doped Dy¬+3 to Ge-Ga-S glass containing 1-20mol% of alkali metal-halide to the Ge-Ga-S glass, or is doped Dy¬+3 to Ge-Ga-As-S glass containing contained 1-20mol% of alkali metal-halide to the Ge-Ga-As-S glass.
