PURPOSE: A method for adjusting automatic focus capability of a video camera is provided to improve the automatic focus capability of the video camera. CONSTITUTION: A method for adjusting automatic focus capability of a video camera includes first through third steps. At the first step(S400), whether a portion in a brightness signal on which a darkness is to be determined is present is determined. At the second step(S410), the focus adjustment is performed so as for a clip data to be minimized when there is no portion in a brightness signal on which a darkness is to be determined. At the third step(S440), the focus adjustment is performed using AF(auto focus data) when there is portion in a brightness signal on which a darkness is to be determined.
