PURPOSE: A method for displaying a data of a digital audio reproducing system is provided to facilitate selection of a digital voice data desired by a user by systematically storing a great number of digital voice data. CONSTITUTION: Voice data files are stored in a directory structure. An upper directory, the number of directories and files included in the upper directory are displayed on a display unit of a reproducing system. The number of a currently selected directory or a file and a reproducing time are displayed.
