PURPOSE: A waterproofing apparatus for an output axis of vessel is provided to achieve an improved prevention against a sea water intrusion and against an oil leakage while arranging a ball bearing and improving the structure of packing member. CONSTITUTION: A waterproofing apparatus comprises a hollow fixing member(351) arranged between a penetrating hole formed at a diaphragm of the vessel body and an outer periphery surface of the output axis so as to close the space formed between the hole and the outer periphery surface of the output axis, the member(351) having an end thereof mounted to an outer surface of the diaphragm so as to fix a sliding bearing(356) and the other end thereof mounted at an inner surface of the diaphragm so as to be extended toward the interior of the vessel, a packing unit (388a, 388b) separated at a predetermined spacing from the fixing member(351) toward the interior of the vessel, the packing unit being tightly contact the outer periphery surface of the output axis so as to prevent water from being flowed into the vessel and simultaneously prevent an oil leakage, and a hose member(360) installed between the fixing member(351) and the packing units(388, 388b) so s to wrap around the output axis, the hose member(360) having a predetermined space between the member(360) and the output axis so as to store a predetermined volume of water.
