PURPOSE: A logic control type tape recorder is so as to provide a logic control type tape recorder at a lower cost by using a permanent magnet type erase header. CONSTITUTION: When a trigger lever(37) is rotated counterclockwise as a moving core(36) is separated from a permanent magnet(35), a stopper member(41) is pushed by the trigger lever(37) and is got out of the front position of a protrusion part(29) of a connection lever(27). A whirlpool part of a head position control cam presses a first cam pin and moves a head adhesive plate and a mode selection lever(26) to the front. Because the mode selection lever(26) and the connection lever(27) are connected by a spring member(28), the connection lever(27) is moved to the front with the head adhesive plate and the stopper member(41) is returned to an initial position. However, the front movement of the connection lever(27) is prohibited as the protrusion part(29) and the stopper member(41) touch. Accordingly, a recording regeneration head, resisting the a spring member(28), moves to the front with the head adhesive plate and contacts a magnetic tape.
