PURPOSE: A device for displaying an optimal state of a monitor screen is provided so that the monitor screen can be optimally used in each mode, by adding a menu for converting the monitor screen into a PC mode, TV mode, movie mode and game mode to an OSD menu. CONSTITUTION: A memory(14) includes at least two modes from a PC mode, a TV mode, a movie mode and a game mode, and stores brightness and darkness data. When a display mode is varied, a control key unit(13) sets up a key for selecting information of the varied display mode. When one mode is displayed by the control key unit(13), if another mode is selected, a microcomputer(11) reads the brightness and darkness data for the selected mode from the memory(14), and generates an on-screen display(OSD) data according to the data from the memory(14). An OSD unit(12) converts the current mode to the selected mode according to the OSD data from the microcomputer(11). A video pre-amp(15) receives the OSD signal from the OSD unit(12), and amplifies the OSD signal. A video main amp(16) re-amplifies the signal from the video pre-amp(15), and applies the resultant signal to a CRT. Accordingly, the monitor screen can be displayed in the optimal state in the respective modes. In addition, the user needs not to adjust the brightness and darkness data of the monitor screen one by one. |
