DEFLASHING DEVICE OF PACKAGE AND DEFLASHING METHOD USING DEFLASHING DEVICE

PURPOSE: A deflashing device is to completely remove a flash remained on a lead frame of a package in molding step or any foreign material attached to the lead frame to prevent any failure from being occurred in a following coating step. CONSTITUTION: A deflashing device of package comprises: a cell(100) containing a deflashing medium(150) such as an electrolyte aqueous solution; a unit(500) attached to the cell for supplying a supersonic wave into the deflashing medium; and a handling unit(300) for catching a package having a lead frame and introducing it into the deflashing medium. The supersonic wave supplying unit comprises a transducer attached to the cell and a unit for supplying electric power to the transducer. A method for package deflashing comprises the steps of: catching a package having a lead frame attached thereto by the handling unit and introducing it into the deflashing medium in the cell; firstly cleaning the deflashing medium by activating it; secondly cleaning the lead frame by providing the supersonic wave to the deflashing medium.
