HEAD SLIDER STRUCTURE OF MAGNETIC RECORDING DISK APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A head slider structure of a magnetic recording disk apparatus is provided to prevent a head slider, a magnetic disk and data from damaging by forming a bump on an air bearing surface of the head slider. CONSTITUTION: A head slider(60) records a data on a magnetic recording face of a magnetic disk(10) or reads the data from the disk. A plurality of bumps(62) are formed on an air bearing face(61) of the head slider(60). The plurality of bumps(62) are formed by coating the air bearing face(61) with a material and etching it. The plurality of bumps(62) become gradually high as going from the both ends to the middle portion of the air bearing face(61), making a crown shape. A lubricant(63) is coated on the edge portion of the air bearing face(61).
