PURPOSE: A forged note identifier and its identifying method are provided to promptly and precisely identify a forged note by sensing a coded fluorescent pattern and automatically discriminating whether it has been forged and displaying it with a warning sound if it is a forge note. CONSTITUTION: A sensor (130) receives fluorescent light reacted on ultraviolet rays of an ultraviolet lamp. A comparing unit (140) generates a drive signal in case that the value sensed by the sensor (130) is different from a reference value. A micro controller (150) receives a rated voltage of a regulator (124) and outputs a pulse current in case that it received the drive signal from the comparing unit (140). An amplifier (160) amplifying the pulse current outputted from the micro controller (150) at its maximum. A warning buzzer (170) converts the pulse current amplified by the amplifier (160) at its maximum to a warning sound and propagates it externally. A light emitting diode (180) receives the pulse current of the micro controller (150) and blinks a warning light.
