PURPOSE: An automatic water gate is provided, which is opened fully by placing a hydraulic piston on the water gate and discharges inflow water to the lower end, thereby improving water quality by preventing blue and red tide phenomenon. CONSTITUTION: An automatic water gate comprises; a water gate (1), which endures water pressure from upstream and keeps an even water level and a hinge (3) between two fixed columns (5); a hydraulic piston (2) to open and close a water gate (1) artificially on the both sides of a water gate (1); a lifesaving cord and a multistage resistance board (7) on the lower end of a water gate (1); a hydraulic plate (4) and a pressure piston (6) connected to a hydraulic piston (2) on the lower part of a water gate (1), therefore a hydraulic plate (4) is pressed down at flood and a piston (6) is pressured. Then a pressured piston (6) raises a piston (2) of the lower part of a water gate (1); consequently a water gate (1) is open automatically.
