PURPOSE: A backlight assembly for a thin film transistor type light sensor is provided to increase brightness on unit area, decrease switching time, and minimize the thickness of the thin film transistor. CONSTITUTION: A backlight assembly for a thin film transistor type light sensor includes a light emitting diode board(42a), a light reflection plate(14,44), and a light diffusion plate(46). The light emitting diode board(42a) includes a plurality of light emitting diodes spaced with a predetermined distance from one another on a print wiring board. The light reflection plate(14,44) is implemented on an upper edge of the light emitting diode board. The light reflection plate reflects the light from the light emitting diode board so as not to be scattered along with a horizontal axis direction. The light diffusion plate(46) equalizes the intensity of the light transferred from the light emitting diode board and the light reflection plate.
