PURPOSE: A chartula printing apparatus is provided to achieve improved reliability of printing operation and input of data while allowing a main body control unit to perform one-way control for printing operation. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a printer unit installed in a chartula transport path and a print control unit for controlling the operation of the printer unit, the apparatus being connected to be operable for transmitting a signal output from a print information input unit to a main control unit for controlling the distribution of the drug, transmitting a signal to the print control unit via the main control unit, inputting from a chartula number setting unit to the main control unit a signal indicative of the number of chartula, transmitting from the print information input unit a signal indicative of print data and print sequence, transmitting a signal indicative of start of printing and print data per chartula from the main control unit to the print control unit, and printing via the print control unit the data in a predetermined printing sequence onto a chartula.
