PURPOSE: A method for controlling an elevator is provided to improve mobile shock, to reduce troubles and consumed time for setting a reference value and a tilt value by automatically setting the values on the basis of a torque value and to minimize torque error caused by unbalanced weight of each section. CONSTITUTION: A repairing staff makes the car of an elevator in a no-load state and sets a reference torque by controlling the car by a driving controller. The driving controller moves the car to the lowest floor and transmits the reference torque to a motor controller(8). Thus, the motor controller controls speed to be zero and a brake is open. The driving controller outputs an accelerating pattern and an equivalent speed pattern to the motor controller in order to control the torque and speed of the motor.
