PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic thermometer capable of quickly and easily measuring a temperature of a hypoglottis part by detecting intensity of an infrared ray by introducing the infrared ray radiated from the hypoglottis part to an infrared ray detector by using a probe and a condensing means, and displaying the infrared ray intensity by being converted into a temperature. SOLUTION: This electronic thermometer is provided with a cylindrical probe 5 for capturing an infrared ray radiated from a hypoglottis part 4, a condensing means 6 for condensing the infrared ray captured by the probe 5, an infrared ray detector 7 for detecting condensed infrared ray quantity, a temperature detector 12 for detecting the temperature of the infrared ray detector 7, an AD converter 13 for performing AD conversion on a signal of the temperature and a signal of the infrared ray quantity, a temperature converting means 15 for outputting a signal according to a temperature of the hypoglottis part by receiving these output signals and a measured value display means 16 for displaying these conversion result. The infrared ray from the hypoglottis part guided by the probe 5 is condensed by the condensing means to be introduced to the infrared ray detector to be converted into the temperature of the hypoglottis part via the AD converter 13 and the temperature converting means 15 to be instantly displayed on the measured value display means.
