PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper capable of storing and holding the excrement in the diaper without forming a dent or a swell in its core. SOLUTION: This paper diaper has the core 4 between a top sheet 2 and a back sheet 3, and includes a laminated panel 1 with a front waist area 20, a rear waist area 22 in the longitudinal direction, and a crotch area 21 located between the front and rear waist areas 20 and 22. In this case, the panel 1 has a dent P which has a pair of joint edges extending along the vertical center line from the rear waist area 22 to the crotch area 21 and sinks toward the non-skin contact surface. The dent P has such a shape that a space is formed in a prescribed shape between the joint edges when a pair of divided areas to be divided from each other along the joint edges are divided from the joint edges. The divided areas in the dent P are drawn up to each other to make both joint edges jointed on the vertical center line of the diaper.
