PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain polyvinylidene chloride resin based fiber having improved thermal stability in melt extrusion, free from sticking, excellent in touch, suitable for hair of a doll by melt spinning a polyvinylidene chloride resin composition including a specific amount of polyurethane. SOLUTION: This polyvinylidene chloride resin based fiber is obtained by melt spinning the resin composition comprising a polyvinylidene chloride resin such as a copolymer or the like obtained by polymerizing in the charging ratio of vinylidene chloride monomer/vinyl chloride monomer = 80/20-95/5 wt.% and 0.001-20 wt.% based on the vinylidene resin, of a polyurethane such as a thermoplastic polyurethane or the like obtained by reacting, for example, a polyisocyanate such as 4,4'-diphenylmethanediiso cyanate or the like and an active hydrogen including compound such as polyetherpolyol, polyesterpolyol or the like. |
