FINE POROUS FIBER AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyolefin based fine porous fiber having highly fine pores and a high surface hole density. SOLUTION: This fiber is obtained by spinning a plural layered fiber comprising a polyolefin composition comprising 65-85% of polyolefin and 15-35% of fine particles having particle size of 0.01-1μm as the core layer and a synthetic resin having flexural strength <=30mm as the sheath layer, bending the fiber to remove the sheath layer from the core layer and drawing the single layered fiber to obtain the fine porous fiber.
