PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a monitor system by which the position of a mobile object or the like can easily be grasped. SOLUTION: The monitor system that detects the position of a mobile object is provided with a plurality of cameras 150 including at least one camera whose moving position can be controlled, a 1st arithmetic means that calculates equations each denoting a straight line passing through the mobile object and each of a plurality of the cameras 150 on an xy plane, a mobile control means that applies moving control to the camera whose position can be controlled when the angle between obtained straight lines is larger than a prescribed angle, calculates the point of the intersection of the straight lines calculated by the 1st arithmetic means and detects the calculated point of intersection as the position of the mobile object.
