PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of an overcurrent inside a power circuit, when a short circuit occurs between internal electrodes in a laminated ceramic chip capacitor having a fuse within, and further to reduce the influence of overcurrent on a dielectric ceramic, to suppress generation of cracks, and to enable electric interrupt of only a defective layer, if the overcurrent flows in the chip. SOLUTION: In this ceramic chip capacitor, a ceramic green sheet 1 and internal electrodes 2 are laminated, and individual internal electrodes are connected alternately to external electrodes 3 formed at both ends of the capacitor. Between each external electrode and each internal electrode to be connected to this, a fuse portion 4 of narrower width than each internal electrode is fitted. If an overcurrent flows, a fuse portion 4 is blown out, and a crack is induced in the green sheet, and the whole capacitor is split. Consequently, electrical connection is interrupted.
