PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tracking actuator having small movable range by a simple circuitry and to set highly reliable tracking in an optical disk device. SOLUTION: The eccentric center of an optical disk 1 is detected based on a timing for changing the information track crossing time (track crossing cycle) of an optical beam from a reduction to an increase, and follow-up control to a track is performed by limiting a driving signal for accelerating a track crossing speed in the driving signal of a tracking actuator according to the tracking crossing cycle. Thus, setting, i.e., follow-up control to a track in the tracking actuator having a small movable range is stably carried out.
