PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable communication to each other so as to be satisfied and to sufficiently utilize the specified version of software for communication by providing a means which translates a prescribed signal into a basic signal element for use in a 2nd network entity. SOLUTION: A server 360 having a supplementary characteristics operates as a signal mediating device between endpoints operating in a protocol for communication which is not consistent slightly or completely. And the server 360 having a supplementary characteristics receives a calling signal that is not recognized between the endpoints of clients 354 and 358 and translates the calling signal for establishing appropriate communication between the endpoints. Then, for instance, even when the client 358 is not available to a certain type or function even though the server has capability about the client 354, it is possible to emulate a signal system necessary for the client 358.
