PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated paper that is imparted a high degree of ink receptivity and resistance to water without heavy damage to the printing gloss by using a coating resin composition that is resistant to thickening and deterioration in fluidity and does not include the formaldehyde-originating component. SOLUTION: This coated paper comprises the paper base material and the coated layers formed on the surfaces of the base material and the coated layer comprises pigments, an aqueous binder, a crosslinked amine as a reaction product from an aliphatic amine and a glycidyl compound bearing at least two glycidyl groups in the molecule and a non-volatile and non-polymeric substance. Urea is particularly advantageous as the non-volatile and non-polymeric substance.
