PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon board which has a light weight, an excellent moisture-absorbing or releasing property and an excellent odor-absorbing property and can sufficiently generate minus ions, without deteriorating the original properties of the carbon of bamboo or the like. SOLUTION: A wall material 1 comprises bamboo carbon granules 2, a binder 3 for binding the bamboo carbon granules 2 in a board-like shape, and Japanese paper sheets 4 adhered to both the surfaces of the board. The bamboo carbon granules 2 and the binder 3 are compounded in amounts of 100 pts.wt. and about 55 pts.wt., respectively. The binder is desirably a thermosetting resin, and it is desirable that a mold release agent or a filler is contained.
