COMPOSITION CONTAINING POLYORGANOSILOXANE, ITS PRODUCTION, SILICONE RUBBER PELLET CONTAINING THE COMPOSITION AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition giving a pellet having high flowability and free from surface-treatment with a potentially hazardous substance by including a polyorganosiloxane, boric acid and water. SOLUTION: The objective composition contains (A) a polyorganosiloxane (e.g. dimethylpolysiloxane, phenylmethylpolysiloxane or trifluoropropylpolysiloxane having a viscosity of 10,000-9×106 mPa.s), (B) boric acid and (C) water. The amounts of the components A and B in the composition are preferably 30-90 wt.% and 2-20 wt.%, respectively. The composition is preferably further compounded with (D) a fatty acid salt such as a stearate or palmitate in an amount of 1-10 wt.%. A silicone rubber pellet having high flowability can be produced by adding 0.1-4 wt.% of the above composition to a silicone rubber.
