PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging system in which installation effect of an auxiliary electrode is enhanced without bringing a developer layer being carried on the outer circumference of a developer carrying roller close to the auxiliary electrode by disposing an insulating material between a first electrode and a developer carrier while covering the first electrode. SOLUTION: An auxiliary electrode 40 is coated with a layer 50 of high dielectric material. A slight gap is set between the high dielectric material layer 50 and a developer carrying roller 12 or contact pressure thereof is minimized so that a developer 18 held on the developer carrying roller 12 is not scratched off through contact with the high dielectric material layer 50. When a recording medium 28 is carried to a print region 32 during operation of an imaging section 10 thus constituted, a pulse 44 is applied from a controller 38 to an individual electrode 36 in synchronism with the recording medium 28. The pulse 44 being applied has positive pole. |
