PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent liquid leaks caused by poor sealing between an output terminal and gasket in a sealed battery. SOLUTION: This sealed battery has a cap 6 filling an opening of a battery case 1. An output terminal 9 is caulkingly fixed to the cap 6 via gasket 8. A shaft part 21 of the terminal 9 is interfitted in a shaft inserting hole 25. A seal hole 26 having smaller diameter than the shaft part 21 is formed at the lower end of the hole 25 beforehand. With the shaft part 21 fitted in the hole 25, the seal hole 26 is elastically deformed so as to be expanded by the shaft part 21. Gap between the shaft part 21 and the seal hole 26 can be sealed by bonding the shaft part 21 and the seal hole 26.
