PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator control method capable of correctly driving an actuator. SOLUTION: A CPU 26, which is provided in an actuator 18, returns drive patterns (drive signals) 1 and 2 supplied from an ECU 24 to the ECU 24. The ECU 24 compares the drive pattern 1 and 2 given to the CPU 26 and the drive patterns 1 and 2 returned from the CPU 26. In the case where noise is not superimposed on the drive patterns 1 and 2, the drive patterns 1 and 2 given to the CPU 26 and the drive patterns 1 and 2 returned from the CPU 26 are conform to each other. In this case, the ECU 24 gives a GO command to the CPU 26 to drive the actuator 18 according to the drive patterns 1 and 2 given to the CPU 26.
