发明名称 PRINTING PLATE MATERIAL AND ITS REGENERATING METHOD
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a printing plate material to be regenerated while being in compliance with the digitization of printing process and also provide a regenerating method thereof. SOLUTION: A structure of forming a coated layer containing a zinc oxide photocatalyst formed on a base is utilized as a printing plate material. In the initial state of manufacture of the plate, the coated layer surface is adjusted into the state of demonstrating hydrophobic properties. Rays (ultraviolet rays) with the wavelength of energy higher than the band gap energy of the zinc oxide photocatalyst are emitted on the surface to covert a part of the surface into a surface demonstrating hydrophilic properties. The conversion is carried out based on a digital data for an image to be printed. A hydrophobic section is utilized as an image area while a hydrophilic section is utilized as a non- image area by the arrangement. When the printing is completed, the emission of energy bundles or the formation treatment is applied in the composite state or alone to convert again the whole of the coated layer surface to the initial state of the hydrophobic properties demonstrated in the manufacture of the plate.
