PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To open an hole at a groove bottom of each tooth part of a circumferential direction of a cylinder wall by rotating a spline main body forming the teeth parts on a cylinder part of a cylindrical body with the axis as a center, inserting a cutting tool into this rotating spline main body, abutting the tool on an inner peripheral surface and cutting the part. SOLUTION: A spline main body 1 is formed so that groove bottoms 4 of teeth parts 3 formed on an outer peripheral surface 10 of a cylinder wall 2 may be projected to an inner peripheral surface 11. This spline main body 1 is set to a lathe and is rotated with the axial center as a center. A cutting tool is inserted into this rotating spline main body 1, an edge is abutted on the inner peripheral surface 11 of the spline main body 1, a part of a projecting part of the inner peripheral surface 11 forming the groove bottom 4 is cut and a cutting groove 7 reaching the groove bottom 4 is formed. As a result, each cutting groove 7 communicated in the circumferential direction is formed in the projecting part of the inner peripheral surface 11 of the spline main body 1. By these cutting grooves 7, an oil hole 8 can be formed in the circumferential direction at each groove bottom 4.
