PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for conveying hot strips for permitting speeding-up and stabilization of the conveyance of the strips by preventing the increase (divergence) of the amount of flying lifting and simultaneously adjusting it to the boundary conditions of decrease (convergence) of lifting relating to the conveyance of the strips for preventing the lifting of the strip on a hot run-out table. SOLUTION: In the conveying method of the hot strip on the run out table between the final stand on a rolling line for the hot strip and a down coiler for coiling the strip, a roll pitch and/or installed position of guides are adjusted so as to be within the limit of the critical conditions of flying which are derived from the contact position with a conveying roll and fluid force by gas stream at the tip of the strip at the time of conveyance, roll pitch, installed position of the guides, thickness, Young's modulus, width, length of the strip, the amount of lifting, threading speed, dead weight of the strip.
