PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing vinyl chloride based resin sheets which inhibits partial dispersion of a pigment in a vinyl chloride based resin dispersion in the casting step to prevent the occurrence of discoloration, particularly linearly colored portions partially different in hue by the name of segregation. SOLUTION: A method for producing vinyl chloride based resin sheets which comprises coating a vinyl chloride resin dispersion comprising 60-70 wt.% resin composition composed of 100 pts.wt. vinyl chloride based resin, 5-60 pts.wt. pigment having an average particle diameter of not greater than 3μm and substantially free of particles having a particle diameter of not smaller than 6μm, and 10-50 pts.wt. plasticizer and 30-40 wt.% organic solvent and having a viscosity of 2,000-7,500 cP on a release paper, and heating the resulting coated paper.
