PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact focus adjustment mechanism where the space for the rotation of an automatic lever in the focus adjustment mechanism is not necessary. SOLUTION: In a focus information transmission mechanism, a gear shaft 101 is engaged with a gear 101A provided on one edge and a gear 1A provided on a focus operation lever ring 1 and held on a rear barrel 5. The gear shaft 102 is engaged with an operation gear 11 attached to a diaphragm ring 12 and a gear 102A provided on one edge of the gear shaft 102, the gear shaft 102 is moved interlocked with the gear shaft 101 and is held in a housing 20 rotatably around the gear shaft 102. The diaphragm ring 12 and an aperture plate 15A are so constituted to hold a multiplicity of sectors 13 between them, sector pins 14 that are fixed to the front and back of one edge of each of a multiplicity of sectors 13, are provided and the sector pins 14 are inserted to each of a hole provided on the aperture plate 15 and a cam groove provided on the diaphragm ring 12 and held in the housing 20 to constitute a focus unit.
