PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the consumption amount of an image forming substance such as an ink, and at the same time, reduce an energy to drive a recording head as well by using one having a dark background color as a recording material, and recording an image with an image forming body of a pole color. SOLUTION: In an ink jet printer 12, a black recording paper A on which an ink bleeding preventive treatment is applied, and a white ink are used as recording material, and an image recording is performed. A recording section 20 is constituted by providing a carriage 26 which reciprocates in the direction being orthogonal with the carrying direction of the recording paper A, an ink jet head 10 which forms an image by discharging ink drops on the recording paper A, and a carrying means 54 and a carrying guide 56 which feed the recording paper A wherein an image formation has been completed to a discharging section 22 of a next stage. By this constitution, even when an image having a large black section is printed, the consumption amount of an image forming substance such as an ink is reduced, and at the same time, an energy to drive the recording head can be reduced as well. |
