PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately display a color tone without transferring a dye to a laminated layer by specifying roughness of a heat resisting lubricity layer. SOLUTION: The thermal transfer sheet comprises a sheet-like base material 1, a plurality of dye ink layers 2 and laminated layer arranged on a predetermined area of one main surface of the material 1, a sensor mark part arranged between the layers 2 and the laminated layer, and a heat resisting lubricity layer 5 arranged on the other main surface of the material 1. Since the thus constituted sheet has the layer 5 having specified surface roughness SRz of 3.0 μm or above, transfer of the dye to the layer 5 brought into contact with the layer 2 is prevented. Thus, in the sheet, a 'retransfer' in which the dye transferred to the layer 5 is retransferred to the laminated layer can be prevented. Accordingly, an image of high quality and high resolution can be formed. |
